How do I withdraw my application?

Yes, you can withdraw your application for a property at any time if your circumstances change or if you are no longer interested in that home. Because housing providers review applications to make placement decisions, it is important to let them know as soon as you decide to withdraw.

How it works

Step 1 – Log in to your Housing Match account.

Step 2 – Navigate to your 'My Applications' dashboard from the main menu.

Step 3 – Locate the specific property application you wish to withdraw.

Step 4 – Select the 'Withdraw Application' button associated with that property.

Step 5 – Provide a brief reason for your withdrawal if prompted; this helps providers understand your current needs.

Step 6 – Confirm the action. Your status will update to 'Withdrawn' and the housing provider will be automatically notified.

Helpful Tips

💡 Tip: If you are withdrawing because your needs have changed, remember to update your participant profile. This helps ensure that any future compatibility matches are as accurate as possible for your situation.

Important Information

Withdrawing an application is a final action for that specific property. If you change your mind later, you will need to start a new application for that property, provided it is still available. Final decisions regarding your housing placement are always made by you and the housing provider.
