What is a Compatibility Assessment?

A Compatibility Assessment is a score showing how well a property matches your needs.

How It Works

Housing Match analyzes:

  • Your profile (preferences, support needs, interests)
  • Property details (location, support, housemates)
  • Your compatibility with residents
  • Support match between needs and availability

The Score

Scores range 0-100:

  • 80-100: Excellent match
  • 60-79: Good match
  • 40-59: Fair match
  • Below 40: Lower compatibility

What It Considers

  • Does location match your preferences?
  • Does support level match your needs?
  • Are accessibility features available?
  • Do your interests align with housemates?
  • Is the daily routine compatible?
  • Can they manage your specific needs?
  • Are you compatible with current residents?

Important

The score is just a guide.

You decide whether to apply, regardless of score. Providers make their own decisions. Low score doesn't mean you can't apply. High score doesn't guarantee approval.

Real Examples

  • High score but you don't like the area → Don't apply
  • Low score but perfect location → Apply anyway
  • Good score and feels right → Great opportunity

Trust your feelings about a property as much as the score.

Final Decisions

You, your Support Coordinator, and the provider are always in charge. Housing Match provides guidance, not final answers.
